Most garden sheds under 10m2 and 2.5m high do not require council approval in most regions in Australia, but it is always safest to check with your local council before erecting The Umbra.
No, there is no roller door option for the Umbra Awning Shed. However, a shed design with this door type can be achieved through Stratco's custom shed design process. Please ask one of our Stratco design specialists in-store, request a free quote, or give us a call on 1300 701 927 to learn more. Pricing will vary.
Yes, if you want to purchase the LED lighting kit to suit the Umbra, then you will require 24V power (a normal power switch). If you are not planning to install the Umbra's LED lighting kit or any other appliances, then you do not require power for everyday use of the Umbra Awning Shed.
If you wish to incorporate a sink or bar fridge of your choice alongside a BBQ or outdoor kitchen, then yes you will need power and/or water access. If you are planning on installing a BBQ or outdoor kitchen within the Umbra, then you will need power to run the gas safety kit which detects gas leaks (sold separately).
Six Umbra Pegboards can fit across the back of the shed & one on each side making a maximum of eight per Umbra Awning Shed. These can be purchased when ordering your new shed or they're sold separately.
You can choose either a single Umbra heat shield directly behind the BBQ or kitchen cook plate/hood or a double heat shield arrangement that completes a full-width heat shield or splashback across the rear wall at 525mm high.

The Umbra is fully engineered to W41/N3 wind rating, however, the tilt door must be closed during extreme weather events.
Although The Umbra has been designed with DIY in mind, we recommend that this Awning Shed be installed by one of our experienced Garden Shed Installers for a seamless installation.
Umbra Awning Shed Heat Shield Configurations
The use of gas appliances under The Umbra Awning shed may cause a build-up of heat above the maximum allowable heat exposure. It's recommended that a heat shield be installed to facilitate heat insulation when a gas appliance is used within the shed.
